EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY WELLBEING
The farm is an excellent base for outdoor activities, helping people connect with the land, learn new practical skills and spend time together in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Learn about fruit and vegetable growing
The farm is an ideal place to gain hands-on experience growing fruit and vegetables using 100% organic methods.
Our growing paddock includes vegetable beds, cut flowers, and a new orchard of apples, pears, and cherries planted as part of the King’s Coronation Orchard Scheme.
The paddock shows how we can grow food in harmony with nature - encouraging beneficial insects like ladybirds and caterpillars, using companion plants to keep pests under control, and including meadow spaces filled with long grass and wildflowers to support pollinators and other wildlife.

It’s a living classroom, helping build understanding of how healthy soil, plants, and insects work together.
We regularly welcome groups keen to learn more about sustainable food growing and develop their practical skills, including students from The Aspire Academy and members of the Monday Night Club - a social club for adults with learning disabilities or autism.
The produce grown here isn't just about teaching skills – it also ends up on local plates, including at the Bear and Ragged Staff pub, giving a real sense of how food travels from farm to table.
Reconnect with nature
Tucked away among the trees, our woodland clearing offers a peaceful, flexible space to slow down and spend time getting back to nature.
It’s ideal for bushcraft and forest school activities, but just as suited to quiet reflection, away from busy everyday life.
The clearing has its own compost toilets and plenty of space for cooking, talking and gathering around the fire. There’s also room for camping overnight, making it a perfect setting for weekend retreats, group stays or longer outdoor experiences.
It works equally well for outdoor yoga classes, mindfulness sessions and small group events.

Beyond the woodland, the farm’s lakes and river banks provide calm places to sit, pause and take in the surroundings.
Whether you’re enjoying a walk, watching wildlife or simply spending time by the water, these spaces are there to help people relax, recharge and feel connected to the land.
Help care for our bees, chickens and ducks
Life on the farm isn’t just about plants - it’s also about our animals. We have a group of chickens, ducks and geese and four thriving bee hives, working daily to make sure they all have healthy, happy lives on the farm.
Growing nectar-rich flowers and sowing green manures like clover mixes helps us create great habitats for our bees and other pollinators.
Our birds enjoy roaming free around the paddock whenever possible. By keeping all our growing areas chemical-free, our birds benefit too, enjoying a natural, safe environment to forage and explore.

Spaces to gather together
As well as our farm and woodland spaces, we have additional venues available for use by visiting groups or to hire for hosting private events.
Our large Dutch barn is perfect for summer gatherings, offering shelter from the rain while still keeping that open, outdoor feel.
It’s a relaxed, practical space for events, group activities and shared meals, seating up to 100 people whatever the weather decides to do.
Our covered and heated barn, "The Stoop" is a beautiful rustic space (just watch out for the low beams!). It's perfect for smaller group activities especially during the colder months.
The Stoop is also home to our community cafe, serving teas, coffees and light lunches on set days over the summer season.
The farm also has a large meadow space ideal for open events. There’s plenty of room for marquees and parking, making it well suited to larger gatherings, celebrations and community events.
Together, these spaces give flexibility to host everything from informal get-togethers to bigger occasions, all set within the wider landscape of the farm.

VOLUNTEER WITH US
Volunteers are at the heart of Bransford Court Farm, and there are many ways to get involved.
Individuals are welcome to join us in practical, hands-on roles, helping with growing, land care, animal care and ongoing projects that make the farm more accessible and welcoming.
We also work with teams from local companies who want to spend time outdoors, work together on meaningful projects and give something back to the community.
Whether you can offer regular time or just a day, volunteering here is about being part of a supportive team, learning new skills and helping the farm continue to grow as a place for people, wellbeing and shared purpose.
If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch to find out how you or your team can help.
